Hanging On Too Long

Pumpkin patches and little boys.  Is there anything better?

I'm Glad I'm a Girl

When I was in Santa Monica on a walk, I looked over and saw this beautiful little girl looking like a GAP advertisement just waiting to be made.  Her caretaker gave me permission and the little one was very cooperative.  Talk about a  cherubic face; a photographer's dream.   I decided to turn one of them into a pastel sketch in Photoshop.

What else is there in childhood but adventures, dreams and dirty hands.....?  Oh, and beautiful perfect faces!

Childhood is frequently a solemn business for those inside it.

This Is Me

I cross-processed this photo in Photoshop because of her compelling eyes.  It all just seemed to fit.

Since I had the baby I can't tolerate anything violent or sad, I saw the Matrix and I had my eyes closed through a lot of it, though I didn't need to. I would peek, and then think, oh OK, I can see that.

Wild Wild West

A sand ball in one hand and a gun in the other, this little one was ready to conquer any sea creature that came his way.
I had a gun and I had to run and shoot, which is not easy.

Beautiful Kylee

Since I haven't posted any pictures for the last 2 days I thought I'd post 3 today to make up for it.  I think that I've decided to do that from now on if I skip any days.  I loved the photo shoot I did with 3 of my favorite children last year.  In the next few days I'll post the boys.  Today it's Kylee's turn.  She's a natural beauty with the most amazing eyes.  What a sweetie.

Little Surfer Boy

This has to be one of the cutest things I have come across at the beach.  This kid was into it, checking out every part of the surfboard.  I could see him dreaming of the day he would be big enough to use a surfboard that was this large.  He looked like a mini surfer, attitude and all.

There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.

This Little Indian

There was the cutest little boy in his Native American costume who kept wanting to get his picture taken.  He just kept looking and grinning.  What a happy little cutie.

I wish with all my heart that you may be the most lovable prince in the world, and I bestow my gift on you as much as I am able.

Red-Headed Child

When I saw the red hair on this child I couldn't help taking pictures of her.  She was beautiful and very full of it too.  When she's older I think she will have many suitors.

I spent time in Santa Monica walking in the area of Santa Monica Pier. There's a wealth of photo-making opportunities. I could have stayed a lot longer. Maybe next time.
