Indian Princess

A few years ago I had the privilege of going to an authentic Indian Pow Wow.  I was in Oklahoma City and I believe this happens every year.  Many tribes come together and compete with their own tribe's dance and music.  Their costumes are amazingly detailed.  Each tribe is distinctive in dress and dance.  I haven't ever done anything with the photographs so I thought that maybe I'd put several of them up on this post this month.  It's worth looking at these photos up close to see the detail of the costuming.  I can only imagine the hours it took to put these costumes together, along with the expense of the materials.  I hope you enjoy!

How many times in a lifetime does a person get to experience this kind of a view?  I must say, this Bryce Canyon adventure left me breathless.  Wow.

People are so wonderful that a photographer has only to wait for that breathless moment to capture what he wants on film.

Since yesterday was a "dog day" I thought today should be a "cat day".  This tiny full-grown cat was so beautiful with her big blue eyes and long gorgeous hair.  She stuck around long enough for me to capture this image and a few more.

Venice Dog

I was walking along the Venice, California canals and met a woman who was walking this dog.  This dog was so sweet and loved posing for pictures.  It turns out that she is a therapy dog and goes to hospitals and lets children love on her.  They feel instantly better.  Just look at that sweet face!

Take a Break

Once when visiting the Getty Museum in Los Angeles I saw this woman enjoying a nap in the garden area.  She looked like she didn't have a care in the world.  That's the way it should be.

When I was walking in the park bluff in Santa Monica I came upon this sculpture.  It is very interesting with it's shape and form.  You can walk inside it.  Someday I'd like to try a photo shoot there with people.

This little guy just stood there and posed for me.  I think he was waiting for some peanuts.
